Masakazu Sugimori is a video game composer well-known for his soundtracks to such titles as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Viewtiful Joe, Ghost Trick, and the Dragon Ball Heroes series. Murder by Numbers represents his first contribution as composer to a game primarily developed outside of Japan. Sugimori currently resides in Osaka.

I've only played Risk of Rain 2 but I'm glad I checked out the first game's OST regardless. This feels like a different slice of the same cake, albeit smaller and with a different kind of "frosting;" the sound is more closed-in and electronic compared to the slightly more open and acoustic sounds in RoR2. This series has some of the best video game music I've heard, honestly. codolt
