Oh my goodness, what is this? All I see is rotten flesh Who is there to save us now? It's a skeleton - Skellboy! Roam some spooky catacombs And mysterious places. Hack and slash your enemies And wear their faces! (Wait a sec that's super gross!) Why not wear a dress instead? (Or a cutie-pie toupee) And put that on your cubic head (PleaseE!) Necromancer fell in love Princess couldn't care less So he summoned all of hell To get her attention Can you feel the tension? Grab your weapon, kick some butt and Save the world! Starting at the Castle Grounds Slashing lots of zombies Fought the monster in the swamps That once stepped on me Kicked my rival in the jaw Lost his feet of evil Wandered through the baracks' rooms Now it turned full medieval Here the rival goes again Kidnapping the Grand Dice! But it mattered not so much 'cause he was beaten Listened not to reason. We got one step closer now to Save the world! Graveyard's locked with three big chains (Hideout of the bad guy!) Hidden in three areas First one up high, In the windmill at the farm. Second in the darkness. Third one's in the library (Oh and by the way there was a weird orc gang you had to defeat and you also had to rescue some knights at some point or something I don't know...) The final showdown's coming up All around the graveyard. Running, jumping, puzzeling, Fighting off a dragon Don't want to be braggin'! Kicked the Necromancer's butt and Saved the world! (Dum-du-du-dum, Dum-du-du-dum dum, dum dum!)

Life was peaceful in the Cubold Kingdom until the king's evil court magician got dumped by the princess. With his heart broken and his rage fueled, he called upon the evil spirits to resurrect the dead and the kingdom's long forgotten monstrosities. What he doesn't realize in his fury is that he accidentally summoned an ancient hero as well... Skippy! Travel across the beautifully rendered kingdom of Cubold and take full advantage of your resurrected, skeletal body! Swap out body parts to acquire new abilities during your adventure or pick up a new weapon to vanquish the evil magician's lackeys. Onwards, Skippy, it's time to be a hero once more!

Despite the lighthearted bombastic intentions of the main campaign, Syndicate turned out to be a very intimate and melancholic experience that leaves me with more farsickness than anything else. Austin's soundtrack played a huge role and every time I hear its wonderful verves, it brings me back to these beautiful feelings. Lovely music all throughout. replicant_hazard
